There are two major myths about conflict: that it always involves anger and that it's always negative. Conflict can actually be a positive tool for growth if you know how to manage it properly. This one-day course will teach participants just how to do that.

 In ETI's Science of Self series we combine DISC, a behavioral style instrument, and Driving Forces, a motivational assessment, to explore personal tendencies and preferences of each participant.  This workshop positions you and your staff members to increase the productive nature of working relationships. 

You will learn the predominant behaviors of the four DISC profiles and your preferred behaviors. Additionally, we apply the science of motivation to understand our intrinsic motivators. Applied in a team setting, a greater understanding of others’ preferred behaviors and driving forces gets immediate results from better communication and less questioning of hidden motives. Team members will approach conflict in a positive way to produce greater results, not disharmony.

Description

A leader’s understanding of how to influence others begins with an understanding of self. Our Science of Self Series applies validated assessments to uncover and confirm our intuitive understanding of ourselves. 

DISC is the most widely used behavioral assessment tool, measuring four behavioral styles: dominance, influence, steadiness and compliance. DISC measures “how” a person behaves. Based on behavioral psychology, our unique Success Insights ® DISC assessment reveals your preferred behavioral styles. In this workshop we educate you on the various styles and equip you with the tools to utilize your strengths and compensate for your blind spots.

Prior to the workshop, each participant will take the online Success Insights ® DISC Assessment. By ranking items “most like me” and “least like me” they will identify how they respond to problems, people, pace, and procedures. 

Our validated assessment is EEOC compliant and accurately identifies a preference for one or more of the styles.

Description

This workshop positions you and your staff members to increase the productive nature of working relationships.  A study conducted of executives revealed that interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships and the capability to communicate in a meaningful manner to both individuals and groups are of extreme value to them in a successor.  DISC is a behavioral style instrument used to explore personal behavior tendencies and preferences of each participant. It is one of the sciences available from our partner TTI Success Insights in our Science of Self series

All workshop participants will discover how to determine and apply different relationship building strategies.  Developing approaches to encourage openness and receptivity during interactions with peers, direct reports (if applicable), supervisors and customers are vital components of influence and collaboration.  Workshop participants will examine how different behavior tendencies of others often necessitate modifications in personal behavior to succeed.
