Welcome to ETI Performance Improvement’s courseware for Microsoft Office Project 2010, one of the most popular scheduling and project management programs on the market. This new version of Project incorporates the ribbon interface with familiar project management tools, such as task lists, resource sheets, Gantt charts, and network diagrams, to provide an easy-to-use project management experience.

This Basic level is intended to help all novice computers get up to speed quickly. This coursel will also help more experienced users who have little to no experience with Project and/or the ribbon interface.

This course will cover getting started with Project, using the ribbon interface, Project’s command and contextual tabs, creating a basic project, formatting project elements, updating a project, using Project’s viewing tools, printing a project, and e-mailing a project. By the end of this course, users should be very comfortable with using program, and able to create and manage a basic project.

Welcome to ETI Performance Improvement’s courseware for Microsoft Office Project 2010! Project is one of the most popular scheduling and project management programs on the market. This new version of Project incorporates the ribbon interface with familiar project management tools (such as task lists, resource sheets, Gantt charts, and network diagrams) to provide an easy-to-use project management experience.

This Advanced level is intended to help everyday computer users and managers understand advanced concepts in Microsoft Project 2010. This manual will also help more experienced users who have little experience with reports, WBS code, shapes, and macros in Project 2010.

This manual will cover how to use advanced Project features, including variances, WBS code, reports, and much more. By the end of this manual, users should be comfortable creating a report, editing an existing project, calculating project costs, and using multiple project files at once.

This manual was created using Microsoft Project 2010 Professional. Our test machine was a 64-bit system running Windows 7 Professional SP1. Any feature specific to Windows 7 in this manual will be marked as such.

Occasionally, this manual may reference where certain keys are on the keyboard (such as Insert, Home, or Page Up). The directions are given based on a standard desktop keyboard that contains a separate number pad. Laptop keyboards may be different or have combined keys.
